Robert Darrel Mooring was born in Lubbock, Texas on November 29, 1960. Son of Lester Joe Mooring, he is one of five kids. At a young age his family relocated to Seaside, California where he was better known around town as Texas Red, Dirty Red, or just Red.
Records from his alma mater seaside high shows he was an outstanding athlete competing on the swim team, football team, track and field.
He was a lovable man with a forgiving spirit with a eye for the ladies. He was full of theatrical characteristics which helped capture the hearts and smiles of the
many people he came in contact with through the community. He loved to spend time with his friends and family riding his bike all over town and, spending time with his grandkids.
He was loved by many people in the community that embraced his sense of humor. His favorite quote was "YOUR CRAZY AS A BOX OF ROCKS!"
Robert precedes in death his Mother Lester Joe Mooring and Father Jack Martin.
He leaves behind his four siblings Debra Green, Lilly Mooring, George Mooring, and Lafyette Mooring. His six children Eduardo Johnson, Sheranda Mooring, Kimberly Mooring, Darleane Loggins, Roberto Morning, Imani Mooring, as well as his eight grand children including Jason English, Tytist Johnson, Eraya Johnson, Tiaunna Taylor, Devontae Calhoun, J’daah Morning, Marcus Jelks Jr., and Darleane Hawkins.
