Emily Elizabeth Coburn-Foote 69, of Seaside, CA died Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP) Monterey, CA.

Emily was born at Fort Riley Kansas on October 20, 1948; daughter of John T. Coburn, Jr. and Catherine L. Mitchell-Coburn. She attended Walter Colton Jr. High and Monterey High School. Emily grew up in Monterey, CA but later became a long time resident of Seaside, CA.

Burial is scheduled at 11:00 am at the City of Monterey Cemetery - El Encinal, on Friday June 8th 2018 with Pastor Bud. Funeral services will follow at Echoes from Calvary in Salinas, CA. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bermudez Family Cremations & Funerals of Monterey.

Emily married Timothy Foote in 1967 they were married for several years but later divorced.

Emily worked a number of years as a printer’s helper for a few companies here in Monterey, including her older brother’s company Heritage Press. Later she worked at Municipal Wharf II preparing fish prior to her retirement. She always was a hard and dedicated worker.

She is preceded in death by her grandparent; Catherine P. Giles, parents; John T. Coburn Jr., Catherine L. Coburn. She is survived by her brothers John H. (Robin) Coburn of Marina, CA, Thomas W. Coburn of Deer Park, WA, Richard D. (Mary) Coburn, Sr. of Suisun City, CA., sister Sharon A. Diebal of Placerville, CA, seven nephews; JJ, Pierce, Greg, Richard Jr., John III, Andrew and David, six nieces; Katie, Jamie, Julie, Veronica, Wendy, and Ginger and several great nephews and nieces and many cousins.

Emily was interested in Politics and was a constitutional conservative her whole life. Emily had her options and could speak her mind when needed; as she talked to her sister and brothers for hours on end. Emily loved her animals and her latest pets were a cat named Kitcat and a parrot, that her brother John asked her to care for, named Orphy. She loved the ocean, beach, to read, to eat, and to converse with people. Emily was a true Christian; she loved her family, the church, the church family, and her best friend Brenda.
